The Soul of Le 10
The cradle of my family, this property tucked into the heart of the Dauphiné, on the banks of the Bourbre, has crossed the centuries with a rich and singular history. Le 10 carries several lives within it.
From a flour mill, later a weaving workshop, to a charming home in the Isère, it has never stopped transforming itself over time.

In the beginning, the mill.
As early as the 18th century, the mill appears on the Cassini map; it drew its power from the Bourbre and helped drive the local economy.
We have no precise family records from the 17th century, but my family has been present in Saint-Clair-de-la-Tour since at least 1680 — an ancestor, Pierre, appears in the parish registers — though it is Benoît (1769–1837) who, with certainty, settled at the mill.
Eight generations before me.
Joseph, my grandfather
He was not the first to alter the property, but he was the one who truly gave it a new face.
Wounded during the First World War, he was forced to give up milling. With courage and ingenuity, he chose to reinvent the place and turned to textiles.
Between 1920 and 1926, he had the weaving workshop, the house and the thread-spinning mill built — today, Le 10.

The advent of electricity
In the 1950s, electricity gradually replaced the mechanical power of water. My father Alain had the turbine installed — still here today, a witness to that era — and water remained at the heart of life on the property.
And so the property carried on, driven by a constant will to adapt and to create.
From textiles to a new story
Textile production continued until the late 1980s, before the property gradually fell into a slower rhythm.
In 2006, I in turn took over the property and began restoring it step by step, wanting to bring it back to life without erasing its identity.

A new life
In 2025, a century after my grandfather, I set out to give this house a new purpose in turn: welcoming guests.
After two years of work, the transformation of the former mill into a charming home follows on from its history: preserving its soul while bringing it comfort and elegance.
Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, where the authenticity of the place meets a contemporary approach to comfort and hospitality.
More than a simple stay, this is an experience I want to offer you: living, for a few days, in a place steeped in history, where family heritage meets the art of hospitality.
Now you know the story and the soul of Le 10 – Reflets dans l’Eau
